My ds is off to a six hour birthday party today!
So I needed a super cool boy birthday card!
Here's what I did...
Here's what I used...
Blue and white scraps of cs from the 'scrapfiles'
T!M Holtz, Sizzix: Retro Circles embossing folder
SU Inks - Night of Navy
- Real Red
Red rubber band!
Inkadinkado Happy Birthday stamp!
[ Just picked this one up yesterday from the 50% OFF Sale bin!!!]
It screamed, "BUY ME!" So I did!

After embossing the blue cs I ran the NoN ink pad over it to bring out the Retro Circle pattern.
Then I stamped the HB with Real Red and trimmed it out.
I adhered both of them to a white cs card base.
Added my '2U' sentiment inside...and then...
I was trying to figure out how to keep the cash securely inside the card...
I remembered I had a bag of rubber bands and thought if I used a red one it would add a splash of colour to the card whilst STILL maintaining it's "coolness" AND keep the money secure!!!
It works perfectly and looks great too!!!
I'm very happy with how this card turned out and it was probably the fastest birthday card I've ever made!
I'll be keeping this card 'recipe' on file for when I need one FAST!
Happy 11th Birthday 'N'!!!
...and many more...
...on channel four...
...and back again...
...on channel ten...
[It's just stuck in my head 'T', had to do it!]
:o)
