This card didn't turn out like it was in my head...
But I like it all the same...
Looks "kinda simple"...
Here they are... all 6...
Digging through those scrap files AGAIN!
Used up a variety of dark blue cs pieces...
Ran them through my Crafts Too Stars embossing Folder...
I LOVE Copper!
So I grabbed some Cu cs and cut out some BIG stars!
My friend 'D' showed me a funky scoring & folding trick with a star at Christmas time...
I thought it would give these cards the oomph they needed...
I also used some copper metallic embroidery thread for the "rays".
Then I punched out the letters J-O-Y and adhered them to the front...
Finally mounted all of that to a parchmenty looking piece of cs for the base...
And then grabbed my Krylon COPPER leafing pen and scooted around the edges...
Whew!
Like I said..."kinda simple"...
;o)
Here's a close up shot ...
The J & Y are punched three times and glued together...
Making my own copper "chipboard"...
The 'O' was on thin pop dots straddling the "thread ray" and so I needed the J & Y to have the same 'height'.
Well, there they are....
Six more Christmas cards DONE!
:o)

ReplyDelete**(Please share a tutorial on how you made them because I'd like a squillion, por favor. ;) )**
The colors combo of navy & the copper is wonderful! Really, truly breathtaking.
Wowza ... simple enough to mass produce, yet classy enough that each recipient will think they're receiving a one-of-a-kind masterpiece ... that's my kind of holiday design ... thanks so much for joining our jingle belles fun.
