Apparently this technique is 'old'...
I'd never seen it until I saw this blog post the other day...
I was instantly jonesin' to play!!!
So I looked up the tut on SC...
February 21, 2005 is when the first entry was posted in the SC Retiform gallery...
Here's the link ...sadly only a couple of pages...
But still some lovely pieces and PLENTY of inspiration!!!
So yesterday I stamped up 8 card fronts...
...and today I finished the cards!
I just used one colour of ink...
Here's my 'Wild Wasabi' set...
Here's a close-up...
Here's the 'Crushed Curry' set...
A close-up...
(Ok, I'm not sure why this pic won't u/l properly...
I've changed the orientation but for some reason it wants to be sideways...
Just tilt your head to the right!)

Stampin' Up sets used...
Touch of Nature
&
French Script
I also used a small bee (1999) by Denami,
a big bee (2000) by Stampourrll Inc.
&
a dragonfly (1993) by Embossing Arts Co.
These singleton "old" stamps have been on my shelf for several years.
Feels GREAT to get them inky!!!
I am LOVING how these cards turned out!
Again SOOOOO much fun to do!!!
I know I say that a lot, but...
It's TRUE!!!
I already have plans to try a few more sets with my shell/beachy stamps!
I think they'll be gorgeous!!!
If you've never tried this technique,
what are you waiting for???
If you have tried it... give it another go!
I can see tons of possibilities with it.
How about some kiddo cards with bright inks and "cartoony-type" stamps???
Oh...there's so many I want to try!!!
Better stay tuned!
